Bio:¬†Marybeth Connelly is an incumbent running for re-election to an at-large seat on the Falls Church City Council. Marybeth Connelly has been a reliable supporter of environmental issues during her four year term; she is currently Vice Chair of the City Council. Marybeth voted for a resolution to reduce the City’s greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050, and voted to sign the Mayor’s Climate Resolution. She has been a keen supporter of implementing sustainable designs for new school buildings, including strong support for a geothermal system for the new high school. She voted for the City’s participation in Capital Bikeshare, and to allocate funding for residential best management practices to mitigate storm water runoff.¬†Marybeth is the City’s representative on MWCOG’s Region Forward committee, and actively works with other jurisdictions to promote regional goals.
